VICTORIA'S IMMIGRANTS.
DEFECTIVE STATISTICS. By Telecraph— Press Association—Copyrlcht London, March fi. With reference to complaints from Victoria that the information available at the Victorian Immigration Department is incomplete, the Attorney-General for Victoria, Sir J. W. Taverner, states that the number of emigrants sailing to Victoria by each vessel is always cabled. However, adds Sir John, many independent emigrants sail without passing through the. agency's hands.
