Melbourne, March 6. The Wharf Labourers' Union has decided to refuse to handle agricultural implements for export during the strike of implement workers.

Serious conflicts have taken placo at St. Malo, between the crews of the French boats engaged in the Newfoundland, fisheries and the gendarmes. The fishermen had struck for increased wages and refused to allow the boats to sail. The gendarmes intervened, and a number of fishermen and police wero seriously injured in tho subsequent affray, and a woman was killed.
