In the United Slates llouso of Representatives there wero disorderly scenes during the closing hours of Ihe session. One member challenged the Speaker, Mr. Joseph Cannon, a veteran of 75, to fight, and the latter defied him. The member referred to Mr. Cannon's grey hair, and Mr. Cannot retorted that that needn't bo a bar to anything. The House cheered the Speaker uproariously.
