CONFESSIONS BY TORTURE.
RUSSIAN VILLAGE MURDER. tey Tolesraph—Press Association—Copyright. St. Petersburg, March 5. A farmer and his wife were murdered at Novo-Mikkailovskoye, Northern Caucasia. The villagers tortured the murderer by placing red-hot stones against his feet until he confessed, implicating two others, who wero similarly tortured, though they protested'their innocence.
