BUTTER INCREASED, CHEESE DECREASED. Figures compiled by Messrs. J.-B. MacEwan and Co. show that up,to the present'tho exports of butler represent an increase o£ Si per cent, on ■ last season's exports up to the s.-.irie time, and the cheese a decrease of S\ per cent. At this stage last season 13,217 tons of butter had been sent away; this year the quantity is 14,315 tons. . Last year's ckeeso shipments were 15,211 at this time of tho season; this year's - are--13,994. The February shipments, of dairy produce from New Zealand were;— February 11, Waimate, ,44 tons of butter; February 20, Maratua,'Bs tons of butter; February 23, Athenic', 84S tons oT butter and 826 tons of oheeso; February 27.-Susses, 2 tons of butter and 461 tons of 'cheese; and February 28, Mamari, 55 tons of butter and 514 tons of cheese;-totals, 1031 tons of butter and • ISOI .tons of cheese. Last year the Arawa, sailing on February 24, took 654 tons of butter and 856 tonsof cheese; the Karamoa, on February 26, 357 tons of butter and 212 tons of cheese; the Morayshire, on, February 26, 16 tons of butter "and 529 tons of cheese; and tho Maraari, on March 1, 51 tons of butter and 451 tons of cheese; totals, >T3 tons' of butter and 2057 tons of cheese.
