ENTERTAINMENTS.
THEATRE ROYAL. The Theatre Royal was packed on Saturday night, when the .last performance of the current programme was submitted to an appreciative audience. The Elliott Sisters in their pieco entitled "The Dancing Lesson" wero encored . several times. Among the others who received recalls wcic Hassan, the magician, Maud Fanning, coon impersonator; Elma Anderson, contralto; and the Anderson Girls. To-night tho management announce a complete chango of programme, which will include (lie first annearance of George Jones, comedian. Ettfe" AVilliams, character soubrcttc, and the Williamson Girls, dancing serios.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The excellent scries of pictures which was screened for the last time at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday was responsible for largo audiences at both matinee and evening performances. For to-night the management announce another entirely new programme, which promises to to no less interesting than tho previous set. The new series touches a little of everything, some splendid views of tho Zoological Gardens, Borne, are given. "The Cowpuncher's Glove" is an Edison production, well set up, and telling a thrilling story of tho West. A fine comedy sketch shows how Mr. Four Flush is absent from homo for a time, and on his return lie tells his friends of his great adventures in foreign parts. He points out on the globe the places ho visited, but is not ablo to quite convince his friends, and, to make matters worse, his absence is discovered to bo due to a sojourn in gaol. He makes his exit, and rides away on tho back of a watering cart to cool off. The Pathe Gazette and numerous other films will be screened to make up a bright and enjoyable evening's entertainment. The programme will bo presented for three nights only, another new scries to tako its place on Thursday.
KING'S THEATRE. There were crowded "houses" at the King's Theatre at the matinee and evening displays of pictures on Saturday. Tho programme, which was then displayed for the last time, was fully worthy of tho high reputation of the AVest's and Royal Proprietary, but something equally good, if not better, is expected to-night, when a complete change will be made. HIGHLAND RIFLES' BAZAAR. The volumo of business transacted at the Highland Rifles' bazaar on Saturday evening was greater than on any evening since it opened. Encouraged by this success the promoters have decided to extend tho bazaar until Wednesday evening next, when the grand art union will be drawn. An attractive programme arranged for this evening will include military tableaux and camp-fire scenes, in which the actors will be members of the Wellington Highland Rifles. Other novelty ' items and side-shows aro also promised.
