Sergeant Mathieson arrested a youn« man at Wellington South yesterday on a charge of criminally assaulting a little girl. Asked by an Auckland "Herald" representative yesterday what- is the subsidy to bo paid for the new Vancouver service, Mr. W. A. Beddoe replied that supposing the amount to be paid by New Zealand to be £20,000, tjie subsidy paid would be stated.
