Six-round bfluts were the order of the evening. Sliarplin (Ashburton) beat Watson (Timaru); Fitzsimmons beat Lister (both Timaru men). Middle-weights: Hegarty (Timaru) beat Ellis (Wellington). This was a splendid event, practically deciding who is the best man in the class in the Dominion. Hegarty led all the way, and won easily on points. WELLS V. Watchorn (amateur welterweight champion of Australasia). Both these men, though in dilferont elasses, are anxious for a match. Their capabilities are well-known in local 'boxing circles, therefore it goes without saying thai patrons will bo provided with a first-class display of the noblo art.
