CORRUPTION IN RUSSIA.
HIGH OFFICIALS CHARGED. By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyrightSt, Petersburg, February 28. There is in progress a sensational investigation of chargcs of corruption involving high officials. The houso of Mr. Smith, a former manager of the Westinghouse Company, was searched and documents seized. Colonel Poliakoff, administrator of the commissariat at Moscow, was . sentenced to five years' imprisonment for demanding and receiving bribes from contractors.
