PALMERSTON DAY BY DAY.

(From Our Special Correspondent.) Palmmton, February 28. A horse in a grocer's cart bolted in a Palmerston street yesterday, and caused some excitement, especially as :■. live-year-eld child happened to l:o seated.in tlie vehicle. After going through .several streets the trap was capsized, hut the child (as is the curious i luck of thc-o things) escap-d without hurt. The vehicle and harness, however, suffered a good deal of damage. It .seems that, while, the driver was delivering goods at a. house, tho child climbed into the cart, and caught hold of tho reins. This had tho effect of setting tho horse in motion.
