The expenditure on old age pensions for the coming year is estimated at as against .£9,220,000 for 1910-11. DISASTROUS FIRES. FIFTEEN WORKMEN BUKNED TO DEATH. By TelccraDh—Press St. Petersburg, February 27. A lamp was upset at a skating pavilion, where twenty-nine workmen employed in tho building were sleeping. Fifteen were burnt to death. TWO FIREMEN KILLED. London, February 27. Two firemen were killed and orio iujured through tho collapse of a burning floor during a fire at the premises of Cohens, rag merchants, Bankside, Southwark.
HEAVY LOSSES., Paris, February 27. A great fashions emporium and some houses havo been burnt at Elbeuf, a cloth manufacturing town fourteen miles up th« Seine from Rouen.
The damage is estimated at millions of francs.
