In reply to questions in the House of Commons, Mr. Asquith said that as the Imperial Conference was between Governments, it would be contrary to precedent to invite tho leaders of tho Opposition, Labour and Nationalist parties to attend tho initial ceremonies. Mr. Asquith added that the conference would decide whether it would admit the press to Hie noii-confulenrial discussions.
