About two hundred men from tho Nortl) Island will arrive on Thursday,' , when tho remainder of ,tho South Island firemen will nlso reach'tho const by overland train. The conference, competitions, picnics, entertainments' and other J events will occupy a v.cek, and a record influx of visitors from nil parts is anticipated. Beautiful weather, prevails, and there is every promiso of a most sue-; ccssfnl demonstration. Very extensive arrangements for the accommodation- of visitors have been made by all tho hotel?, and tliouuh there will be on extraordinary demand' for accommodation the facilities will'.bo; fully equal to the occasion.
