■ Christchurch, February 27., ; A young Maori -woman, named liangi Kowhni, died suddenly at the Maori Set-tlement,-Mangare Bridge, about' 7 o'clock last evening. Deceased was married, arid leave 3 a husband and three children at the Waikato, from where she had justrecently arrived on a holiday. The. adjourned '.inquiry, into the circumstances surrounding the death, of Vivian Alfred .Bowell, the nine-year-old j*on of Sergeant Bowell, of the Auckland city police, wus continued this morning. The deceased met his death as the result of severe injuries sustained by being run over by a trap in Symonds Street on February 18. The accident occurred in a portion of the street where repairs were being made to the tram lines.
