To-day all the Cabinet Ministers will ba in Wellington. . The Hon.. D. Buddo returns to Wellington this morning. . Mr! Justice Sims arrived from the south on Sunday, and went on to Namer yesterday to reiieve his Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Robert. Stout), who is coming back to Wellington this eveninz in order to preside at the farewell to tho Prime Minister and. the Hon. Dr. Findlay tomorrow night. Mr. B. Cooner, of Singapore, is a visitor to Now Zealand. He will return to the East in April. Mr. S. P. Stevens, chief postmaster at Christchurch, whoso health has been unsatisfactory for some time past, will retiro from tho sen-ice on pension as from Juno 30. Ho is now absent ou sick leave. Mr. William Tlygor, a well-known member of the Newtown -Howling Club, will leave on a trip to England on Friday next. Mr. J). Millignn relumed from Auckland and Eotorua by tho Main Trunk express yesterday. Mr. V?. T. Mansfield, Town Clerk and Borough Engineer, who is leaving Masterton to take up the position of engineer to the Borough of wanganui, was last evening presented by tho citizens of Masterton with an illuminated address. Our Masterton correspondent states that there was a large and representative gathering of townspeople, and the presentation was made by the Mayor. Mr. Mansfield was subsequently presented by friends with a handsome dressing-case. Mr. J. Lomas, secretary of tho Labour Department, has been nressntcd with an illuminated address by the heads of the various divisions of the Department, it congratulates Mr. Lomas on his recent appointment to tho vacancy caused by tno retirement of Mr. Tregcar. Mr. Montgomery is now 89 years of age. The Prime Minister has now received the following telegram v from him:—"On the eve of your departure for the Conference I wish to give expression to my. sincere admiration of you as a man and a politician, and to assure you of any warm regard and 1 best ■ wishes. Sub-Inspector Sheehan was the recipient of α-handamie liqueur stand from members of the police force ia Auckland on tho occasion of his leaving Newton for Wellington.
