CRISIS IN FRANCE.
THE MINISTRY RESIGNING.

(Eec February 20, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, February 25: In tho Chamber of Deputies, tho Socialist-Radical party accused the Go%ernment of conniving with the religious orders in securing the reopening of their schools in order to curry favour with,the Centre party. Tho Prime Minister, M. Bnand, vigorously denied the charge, and a vote of confidence in the Government was carried by 2C2 votes to 238. The Cabinet is, however, .considering : the advisability of resignation. The vigorous action of the French Ministry in suppressing the ruin ay strike last year lesulted in strong protests from the Socialist party .in the Chamber. Although a vo*e of confidence , I in the Government was carried b} 329 votes to 183, If. Bnand thought it desir--1 able to.place the resignations of himself, ' and his colleagues" in the hands of the President. He was at once invited .to form, a hew Cabinet, and on November 19' he met tho Chamber with a reconstructed Ministry. (Rec. February 27, 0 25 am) Paris, February 2G. The Cabinet will resign after the funeral of tho late General Brun, Minister for War.
