Keen excitement is ruling in the competition, tlio remarkable performances this week of Mr. Sail's - stock being unique, Mr. Bradford's pen holding second place. With a view to breaking Padman's world's record of 1538, theso pens will bo retained by tlio club to oompleto tlio year. With a nino weeks' run tlio test closcs at tho end of March.
Individual totals for tho week aro:— Bradford, 33; Sail, 32; Rangiuru, 31; Browne, 30.. Highest aggregates:—Sail, 13-16; Bradford, 1314; Rangiuru. 1313; Knight, 1310; Balch, 1309. - Total aggregate, 59,801. Ducks: A poor return. Lucy, 15; Knight, 10. Totals: Khiglit, 1075 and 960: Hammond, 950; total, 9901. ' Tho Now Zealand Utility Club has invited Mr. Itutherfurd, of Masterton, to givo a lecturo on Tuesday next on tho egg-circle movement. Mr. Sail has decided to sell his pens by auction at tho closo of tho competition. It is generally recognised that tlio export of eggs has had a beneficial result in maintaining a steady price.
