MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
An instructive lecture in ambulance work was given by Mr. James Moore, nt tlio Missions to Seamen Institute last evening. There was a large and interested audience. Tlio lecturer dealt chiefly witjh common accidents, likely to occur in the daily course of life. He showed tlio different nict'liods of lifting and carrying patients .and also spoke. 'of. tho ' dangers of ft person's clothing catching iirol' A competition in connection with ambulance work was hold, and won by sailors from ships'in port. Tho lecturer gavo several useful hints relating to health matters. A bright musical programmo was provided by .Mr. Page, tjho following contributing items:—Mrs. Pago, Messrs. Forbes. Pago, and Arnold ("Star" of India"). Tho performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
