News has been received from the New Hebrides of a serious boating accident Mr. Pitt, a Britisher, and formerly 'n resident of New Zealand, with four others, left in a boat to visit a neighbouring island. Tho party has not since been heard of, and is believed to have perished in the hurricane, which recently swept the group. _■
