Later advices as to the result of the fight between the natives and tho French in tho Sudan stato that the Sultan of Darkoutc, his three sons, and several chiefs were killed, and nor captured, as previously announced. Tho Sultan, who disliked Frcncli rule, was moving with his people across tho frontier into British territory when he was blocked by a Fronch force.
