In a case wherein men were charged: with an offence against the -Licensing-• Act for having been found on licensed V. premises on December' 26, the day which the Legislature decreed should be con-, sidered Christmas .Day, ■_• Mr. Burgess, S.M., held the offence was proved, in a , lengthy judgment he , quoted many., authorities, and said that when the words admit of but one meaning, as in the present case, the Court, is not at liberty to speculate on the. intention .of. the .
