I (Speoially wriUon. for TnE Uouiniom.) J . TUESDAY. r Grilled steak. Potatoes. Tomatoes. Vis pudding. Sffcot molted butter. FIG PUDDING. Tiro teacupfuls of flour, ono tcacupful of suet, sugar and milk, ono egg, half a tenspoonful carbonate of soda, ono teaspoonful .of (-rerun of tartar, half a teaspoonful of chopped figs, grated rind of balf a lemon.' SUrcd tho suet and chop it finely. Chop the figs, dissolve the soda in a little warm milk, mix nil tho dry ingredients well, add tho beaten egg and the milk and soda. Pour into a well greased basin, tie down tightly with a pudding cloth, and .boil two hours nnd a half. Serve with sweet melted butter.' FOR TO-MORROW. Loin of mutton for pie, pastry, turnips, arrowroot, one quart of milk, fruit lor stewing.
