At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday Katherino Brooker, alias Kate Lynn, pleaded guilty to a charge of importuning and was sentenced to a month's imprisonment. A young man named Gustavo Lindelof, charged with using obscene language, was fined .Ct' with tho alternative of one month's imprisonment. William Slovens, who pleaded not guilty to u charge of assaulting Joseph John 'robin, , was, on tho. application of his solicitor (Mr. H. i\ O'Leary) remanded until February 24. Bail was (allowed in tho sum of 41. Daniel Hirlihy pleaded guilty to (1) behaving in a disorderly. manner while drunk on Friday evening; (2) refusing to quit the Hotel Cepil when requested to do so by a servant of the licensee; (3) assaulting Percival Richajd Waddy. Accused was fined 20s. on each of the first two charge?, and '10s. on tho third charge, tho default being seven days' imprisonment in all three cases. Station-Sergeant Darby stated that accused had not been before the Court before, and the magistrate thereupon allowed him seven' days to pay. .y Samuel Hugh Strain.pleaded not guilty to a charge of being an idlo and disorderly person without lawful visible means of support.
