The Worser Bay Club held the first of a series of races fo rthe Brodie Cup at Seatouu -Wharf on Saturday afternoon when a 50yds. distance .was decided, tlio results being as follow: —First heat: V. L.! Allen, lsec., 1; O. Green, 4sec., 2. Also started: W. Wright, ssec.; L." Rountree, 9sec. Second fieat: J. Ewing, llsec:. lj L. Green, ssec., 2. Also started: S. Brailsford, Usee.: S. Huntingdon, 7sec. Third hent: N. Stone, 7sec., 1; G. Green.. 4scc., 2. Tlso'" started:'' Ai Kercher, 7sec.; L. Silver,. lsec. Owing to tho unavoidable absence of several' intending competitors, those who .were unable to start-on Saturday are asked'to meet at Seatoun Wliarf on Tuesday at 6.15' p.m. and at Karaka Bay Wharf on v Thursday at G p.m. The final will bo held on 'Saturday next at Seatoun Wharf, after which the heats for the 100 yds. distance will bo got oil. -
