'SETTLEMENT IN SIGHT. , The labour trouble in connection with the Patea shipping trade is.on.the point of a settlement, and matters'will probably be advanced a /urther stage, to-day, when the representatives of the men and the employers'are expectedto meet and appoint an umpire, who, with the representatives in. nuestion, will give a decision' which both sides- agreed to accept., . Mr. Jackson, president .of the New" Zealand Workers' Federation, was appointed to represent the men, and ITv.' W. Pryor, secretary' of the Xew Zealiind Employers' Federation, has been selected to represent tho employers. As Mr. Jackson has to proceed south on business, the men may Hnvo to select another representative. > ■
