The underwriters' surveyor has .reported that he is unable to save- the steamer New Guinea, which went ■ on the rocks at Green Capo during a fog. The hull of the vessel has been abandoned, and will be sold. LOSS OF THE TIME. ' Melbourne, February 16. The wreck of the collier Time, which went ashore last month at Beachport North, was sold for ono hundred pounds. BOTTOM ALMOST RIPPED OUT. (Rec. February 16, 11.25 p.m.) Sydney, February 16. ■ Soveral of tho New Guinea's crow have, arrived in Sydney. They state that when tho vessel struck she almost ripped her bottom out, and it was quickly appar-ent-that she was doomed. There was great difficulty in lowering the boats owing to tho heavy swell. -
Heavy rain arid fog added to tho discomfort and tho exposure severely affected . somo of tho crew.
