HON. T. MACKENZIE ON,THE.. ! GOVERNMENT.. ■ A correspondent writes:—"ln looking up Volume 75 of 'Hansard' (June 23-. July 29, 1892)' for a certain purpose, ,1 discovered some extremely curious and amusing things. The funniwt is a speech by the Hon- T. Mackenzie. It is a very . good, and a very, clever, speech directed against the Government of the time, of which. Sir J. G. Ward and the Hon. J. Carroll were members. Mr. Mackenzie was discussing the sort of candidates the Government required, and he said they w.ore of the -kind indicated in these vorses:— . . .•■• . * Yβ follow Ballance in taxation, .
