A- Sandon. Wedding. -' At St. Thomas's Church, Sandon, last Wednesday, the marriage of Miss Amy Ellen Read, second daughter of Mr. Micaiah Read, of Sandon, and Mr. larval James Sneedy. l youngest son of Mr. James Speedy, of Hamilton, Waikato, was celebrated in the prcserico of a large number of frionds.' Tho Rev. I. Sola performed the ceremony. 'The bride, who was given away by lief father, wore a dark, brown fnilor-mado costumo and white hat, with ostrich plumes. Her sis-ter,-Miss, Hannah Read, and-Miss Lilian. Ellerm, - cousin c£ the, bridegroom, attended her as .bridesmaids-," both wearing blue velvet dresses and white hats; and carrying ivory-bound prayer-books with ribbon .streamers, tho gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. A. H. Read, sister-in-law to the brjde, presided at the . organ. The bride's present was a gold brooch and'a prayer-book. ■ Her present to the bridegroom'was a set of gold sleeve-links. A reception was afterwards held at the residence ef the bride's parents.

Garden Parly at Khandallah.' A very cnjoyablo garden party was given by Mrs. C. Ahearn at her residence at Khandallah on Saturday afternoon, in honour of her daughter, Mrs. Willis.
