Half pound flour, a pinch of salt, 1 tfaspoon/ur baking powder, Jib. butteiv about j gill of cold water, 1 gill of milk, 1 lb. jam.- ' Silt tho flour, salt, and baking powder into a basin, rub in tho butter and mix them to a stiff tmsto with cold water. Roll out tha paste to an oblong shape about ( one-third of an inch thick. Spread .tho jam over tho surface of tho paste, damp tho edges with water, and roll it up. Put tho roll in a largo greased pie-dish, pour tho milk over it, nrid bako in a mod* erato oven 1} hours. Serve on a hot dish. FOR. TO-MORROW. ...Three or 41b. pibklbd pork, 11 pints split Seas, soaked overnight (for peaso pnding), cabbage, raspberry jam, l breadcrumbs.
