Sir,—l have read tho letter by "Justice" iu your issue, of tlio 7tli instant. I agrco with all his remarks, ■but especially do I agroo with them where they refer to that extraordinary personage. Dr. iundliiy. I know that Dr.. Findlay is very great. I also know that ho "bosses" tho Legislative Council. This .'country is called democratic, and.yet permits Dr. Fiudlay to enter by tlio backstairs of tho Log'islativo Council without any permit of tho people, and rulo them (tho people), and also tho Council. No constituency has yet seen its way to return to Parliament to represent thorn Dr. Findlay. Tho ideas of tho Attor-ney-General, arc a ineiiuco to tho community. By what right does this appointee of the Government forco his ridiculous fads on tho peoplo of New Zealand. They never gave him authority to do so. Tins reformative inotfiod is a crying injustice Dr. Findlay would almost seem to desire to usurp oven tho power of tho Throno, as your correspondent points out. My advico to tho country is "cavo canem."— I am, etc., /,. DEMOCRAT...
