Tho \Ve9tport Coal Company is maintaining a good weekly output, that for last week being over H.OOO tons, but both ilvo Seddonville, State, and Stockton Companies aro experiencing slack times, apparently duo to the overstocked market caused by tho recent strike scares. There is no evidenco of industrial troubles, lwth sides working amicably undor tho existing agreements. The protracted spell of fino weather is causing severe shortage of water in tho out-districts, and is giving riso to somo anxiety to sawmill-owucrs on account of bush fires, and to goldmincrs dependent on the water supply for sluicing purposes.
