A little, auk has been picked up dead at Kingsbourno Green, near Harpenden, and two waxwings which nest in tho Arctic Gircle, arid rarely visit England, havo been-seen feeding at Kirby, Essex. The first four folio editions of Shakespeare's works wero sold . recently at Sotheby's. They wero from tho library of the late-Mr. William nughes Hilton, of Sale, Cheshire. None was in perfect condition. Tho first impression is CIX, class 2, C. Division, in Mr. Sidney Leo's list.,. It came from tho collection of tho Rev.-H. T. Holham,. and was purchased in 18SG from tho estate of Mr. W. P. Bennett, for £K. Tho last offer for it last week was .£4OO, made by Mr. Quaritch, who also gave'.£los for one of two "copies of the second folio. Tho other went to Mr. Halpes at .£7O, tho third folio to Mr. Edwards at JEIBS, and the fourth folio to Mr. Bimmel at £W.
