It was decided to ask th(\ Farmers!. Meat Company to allow its grader to act as' judge of tho fat sheep, which aro.to bo killed at tho freezing works. It 'was' rcfeolvcd that post entries for tho judging competition be. received up-till tho..sccond day of the sliow._ Tho secretary was instructed to make it 'hs""widely"knbwn"as possible that visitors to tho show could get direct .to-the-showgrounds from'tho train. A committee was set "up to rcccivo his Excellency tlio Governor, who will formally open tho show and plant a tree presented by Mr. E. Hale. The question of issuing complimentary tickets, for luncheon was referred to a sub-committeo. It was reported that arrangements had '.been made for twenty vehicles to convey peopU>'.to;tho showgronptl,'At sixpence tier head. •A-bonus of X7O. was voted to Sir. John. Tait, who has beeit^ip' charge of building operations'nt tho showgrounds, letters were read from tho Hons. J'. A. .Millar and .G. Fowlds regretting th«ir inability to be present at the show. Tho Hon. It. MlCenzie intimated that he would be nre«ent if possible. It was. reported that there was plenty of accommodation available in town for ji sitora to tho show. Twenty-six new members wora elccted.
