CHARGE DISMISSED. •The : long-outstanding matter of thn inquiry' into what is popularly known as th, "Ranji" Wilson case has at last been disposed of by the Wellington Rugby Utnon. After a number of meetings, tho Management Committeo of tho union has dccidcd that in its opinion thcro is not sufficient evidence to convict A. Wileoh, and that tho charge against him be dismissed. It was also resolved that owing to tho lapse of time between tho incidont alleged against two other players concerned in tho sarao match and tho timo when they wiro. charged with onv offence, tho committee is of opinion that these two players havo not had a fair chance of preparing a defence, and that the charge against them be dismissed.
