INCREASED CHARGE FOR NAVY TOBACCO. By l'clt2raph-r*rcss Assnciat; on-Otpyrlcht London, February 5. There is considerable indignation at Portsmouth owing to tho charge for tobacco for tho Navy being niado 2s. Bd. instead of Is. a pound, as from April 1 next. Tho prico of soap for the Navy has increased by a half-penny a pound. (Rec. February C, 9.15 p.m.) \ London, February G. Tho reported increase in tho prico of tobacco for tho Navy is an error duo to a misconstrued order. It only refers to tobacco consumed ashore during leave.
