5 RESIDENCE DESTROYED. (By Telceranh—Press Association.) Auckland, February 6. A fire at To Awamutu at 2 a.m. do" stroyed a 13-roomed residence occupied by Dr. Henderson. A little furniture was saved. The damage' is estimated at .£ISOO. The insurances include -£300 on the furniture aud .£750 on the building. A NARROW ESCAPE. Napier, February ,6. A two-storied dwelling in Hastings Street, owned by Mr. 1?. Fisher, Wellington, and occupied by Mrs. 0 Halldran, was completely gutted by fire early this morning. Mr?. O'Halloran and a little boy living with her escaped in night attire. The building was insured for ,£l5O in the Atlas, and the contents lor .£175 in the Norwich Union Office. SERIOUS LOSS AT DUMGREE. Blenheim, February C. Fiftv thousand trees were destroyed bv the fire at Dumgreo last week, and liie damage is now estimated at ,£4OOO to" i'sUOO. °
