— « , MANY MAORI ADHERENTS; ■ (Ur Teleirrach.—SDCoial Correspondents Auckland, February 6< There are between 500 and 600 Natives at the annual provincial gathering of thej Maori adherents of vhe Church of tha Latter Day Saints, which this year ia being held at the Kaianga of Eru Nehua, at "Whakapara, , who has built a very large meeting-house. The Natives havegathered from all parts of the province, and the expense is borne proportionately, by the various districts. At sunrise ths blowing of the cow's horn by a stalwart Native awakens the camp, and then, with stentorian voice this mue'zzin of the Maori Mormon Church calls - upon the faithful to pray to tho Great Spirit and Giver of all good things. During the day praying and preaching and feasting alternate, Immense quantities of food are being coih sumed, and, judging by the smiling fate 3, much to the satisfaction of those present;
