The New South Wales 220 yards chamjionship was won by Redmond, of the South Sydney Harriers, in 22 2-ssec. HOLWAY BEATS TREMBATH. (By Telegraph.—l'rcs3 Association.! Dunedin, February 5. Tho principal attraction at tho sports meeting on the Caledonian ground yesterday was a 300 yards race between C. E. Holway and W. F. Trcmbath for a purse of .£SO, the winner taking 75 per cent, The race was run in the teeth of a strong wind. For the first 100 yards Trembath gained on his opponent, but Holway soon overhauled him and won, easing up, by about G yards. The time was 31 3-sscc, In the Sheffield Handicap, 130 yards, Holway (scr.) won his heat in 12 3-sscc., and in the filial he beat Fisher (131 yds.), and M'Leiinan (14yds.). Fisher was just leading M'Lonnan 15 yards from tho finish, with Holway 3 yards behind. Holway made a desperate effort, and won by a foot. Time, 12 3-ssec. Tho 440 yards wa< won by Trembath (scr.). TlnfF (40yd.< was second, and Whito . (20yds) third, Trembath won comfortably by a yard, in 50 2-ssec. '
