The Leicester Labour Conference, by a majority of three to one, dccided to abolish the pledge hithertb required from Labour members of Parliament. Mr. Keir Harelip, lI.P. for Morthyr, supported tho retention of a written pledge, which, he said, would make men disclose their dishonesty, if it did not make them honest. Mr. J. Ramsay Macdonald, member for Leicester, has accepted tho chairmanship of the Labour Party in tho Houso of Commons. (Rec. February 3, 11.45 p.m.) London, February 3. The Leicester Labour Conference decided that the next meeting will be held at Birmingham.
