- ■ _$_ . OUTBREAK AT. CLYDE QUAY. A fire at 62 Clyde Quay caused the fire brigade to fce called out shortly after 8 o'clock yesterday morning. The building, which is owned by Mrs. Ellen Har:on, is occupied as fiats. The ground floor is tenanted by Mrs. Gertrude Fantham, the first floor by Mrs. Annio Chisholm, while the second floor is not at prosont occupied. It appears that the fire originated in the dining-room of tho first floor, and though.the brigade suppressed it in quick time after their arrival, Mrs. Chisholm sufl'ered_ a good deal of loss. Her effects were insured for .£l7O in the Norwich Union Office. The other two flats were damaged, to some' extent by water, Mrs. Fantham's furniture and effects being uninsured. The building.is insured for .SIOSO. An adjoining dwelling (No. 64), occupied by Mr. J. B. Howe, and owned by the Meech Estato, was slightly damaged by the lire. This building is covered by a policy for .£450 in the Phoenix office, and the contents are insured'for .£250 in the South British. WINDOW CURTAIN ALIGHT. ' At 7.52 last evening, the brigade was called to 70a Tory Street, a seven-roomed dwelling occupied by Mr. George Marshall, and owned by Mrs. Jacobsen. A window curtain in the" front room caught fire from a lighted candle, but beyond the destruction of the curtain no damage was done. The contents were not insured. ■■■.•;.■ OUTBREAK IN THE CITY. At 0.53 o'clock this morning the Firo Brigade was called out to an outbreak at No. 7 Aurora Terrace. The house, which is a teii-roomed one , , was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Tho brigade succeeded in getting the flames under alter a front sitting-room, dining-room, and a passage had been badly damaged. The remainder of the building aiid its contents suffered somewhat from the heat and smoke. .
