HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

AT ST. THOMAS'S' SCHOOLROOM'.

Special features at St.'Thomas's Twelfth Horticultural Show opened in St. Thomas's Sunday Schoolroom yesterday afternoon jvere the exhibits oi Messrs. Jackson, Pettersen, and Poole, nurserymen. In Mr. Jackson's collection of calceolarias aud gladioli are sonic beautiful blooms, particularly among the latter, the newest being of an intensely dark maroon colour, called the "Rev. Wynn Bond." Another beautiful bloom is the. "Lord Kitchener,' of very- large size, with light markings iu tho centre. Thero was also a "while clipper" very delicately coloured around th« edges and with a throat of deep crimson. TneVe, however, were only some of them as there was a very large. variety of them shown. The display is said to exceed anything previously shown in jNcwtown,. and. .was., well patronised mmng the afternoon ■ and evening.- It will be continued this afternoon and evening. The judges at. {lie show'were: Miss Cooper, Air. W. H. P. Barber, and Mr. H. Poole.
