-POLICE CASES AT PALMERSTON. (By TeleEraDh.-SDecial / Correspondent.} t Palmerston N., February'!. At the Polico Court to-day, before Jfessrs. J. A. Nash and W. Beck, J.P.'s, Michael Bitousi was brought up on remand on a charge of having-moulds in his possession for making counterfeit coins, to wit, crowns and ' half-crowns. Charles O'Loughlin, who had been remanded several times on a similar charge, gave evidence that he belonged to Wellington, but had been working with accused at a flax-mill at Linton, and lived in the same whare.- Accused wont to .Wellington, and when he camo back he Baid ho had some coin which he showed witness, but ho did not take much notice of them. . Bitousi left the mill about a week afterwards, and before going, placed the moulds and coins wrapped in paper in witness's wardrobe. He knew what the moulds were for and afterwards came across them when cleaning up his whare after Bitousi had left. Several other witnesses gave evidence, and accused, who reserved his defence,' was committed for trial, the previous bail being allowed. The police did not prefer any evidence ggainst O'Loughlin on a similar .charge, fohieli ■ was' withdrawn.
