A NEW MILITARY OFFICE.

JUDGE-ADVOCATE-GENERAE. (By Tclegraph-Prcss Association.) Auckland, February 1. Lieutenant J.' R. Heed lias been appointed Judge-Advocate-General for New Zealand, under the new Defence Act. This is a new appointment, inado on the recommendation of Lord Kitchener, and on lines followed in regard to the Imperial force. One of the first duties of the Judge-Advocate-General will be to nominate in other centres. Sir Joseph .Ward states that MajorGeneral Godley has completed arrangements for a new trial of the Knvvett case.
