Laiirenson, M.P. for Lyttelton, ■ to bring his household to Wellington during the Parliamentary session, returning to Lyttelton again during, the recess. Had tho hoy been. obliged to (Jive away from home in order to,take up his scholarship, its value would have been JUO. Tho question raised by Mr. Laureiison was whether his son could bo allowed tho higher value of tho scholarship for that portion of tho year in which tho family was domiciled .at Lyttelton, tho boy in the meantime remaining at Wellington College. Tho Education Board referred this knotty problem to the Education Department tor a ruling on the point. Tli remaining thre sections of Messrs.
