Tho Labour Conference, after a lengthy discussion, negatived a. proposal to strike tho land nationalisation plank from the platform of the party. Tho mover's contention was that land was practically already nationalised, as thero was no limit to the taxation that could-be placed on it. . • Mr. J. C. Watson, ox-Federal Primo Minister, -strongly favoured retention of the plank. • . .■■ Jlr. Nielson, New South AVales Minister of Lands, consider*:! that they should have a definition affixed to show what tho party really meant by nationalisation.
