For several months past a school attended by ten scholars" has . been conducted up the Waitotara Eivor in a tent ten feet" by twelve. As more children are now attending, the settlers have asked the Education board to supply them with material for a rough building, which, they offer to erect. .The board has decided to ask'the Department for a grant for a. suitable building, which it is to bo hoped will be given. Tlio Education Board has decided tn forward tho result of the District High School fire inquiry to the Department, with an intimation that it did not consider it necessary to hold a Departmental inquiry.
