FARM HANDS FROM HOME.
ONE HUNDRED COMING SOON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, January 26. The provincial secretary of the Auckland Executive of the Farmers' Union (Mr. Schmitt) indicated to-day what it is proposjd to do in the direction of introducing British, farm labourers into Auckland province. In April next, Mr. Flanagan, of Drury, vice-president of the Provincial Executive, leaves for England. 'While ia the Old Country he will make a personal examination of suitable farm hands, and select as many as are required by the farmers of tho province. "We Miavo no intention of _ running against the Government," said Mr. Scl'initt, "and hope to work in conjunction with the Labour Department if possible The demand for suitable larm labour'is very great indeed, and we expect that the first batch of arrivals will num« ber nt least a hundred."
