MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
During the time that the annual bazaar of the Missions to■ Seamen ■ was being held . last season,. the collection for the Children's Hospital' was in progress, and this probably accounted for'the fact that -'the takings-at the bazaar were .£Bo' less ! th'an .thbse-of tha previous season. Since ■then several' concerts have been held -at ithe Missions; to.• Seamen, Hall, with. the. object .of making up-for that lost, profit, and another. very -successful.. entertainment was held last night. The hair was specially decorated last night; and the •concert funds were assisted by the sale of; cut flowers'and post cards. The programme was mostly composed of humorous .items. Miss Picot's recitation's 'were' greatly' appreciated,- and - she had to - recite noifewer than'four .different pieces. 'Mr.i J.i Dykes wis called on. to render, several. songs, and .Mr. I-Y Haybittle recited. Four sailor boys . from the Ario];ura and the 'lonic- also contributed. •to the evening's entertainment. ■ .
