WELLINGTON SHAKEMARKET. The volume of business transacted irr mining shares yesterday was about tho largest recorded since the reopenimr of the Exchange. Waihis were, slightly firmer, New Sylvias were easier, but Saxons were steady.'At the lirst call Waihis chauped hands at £4 15s. 6d. There was no business done at the midday call, but at tho afternoon call the transactions recorded were New Sylvias, 3s. .lid. and. 3s. 10d.; Saxon, 2s. 2d.,' Talisman, new issue, at <os. 3d.; Waihi, at £4 15s. fid.: and Waihi Grand Junction, at £1 10s. 6d.
