Gilbert Parker, the novelist *aml M.l\, was robbed, at St. Moritz, Switzerland, of J29000 worth of jewels.. For tho crime Cesare Cattaneo, a waiter, and his wife (who was Mrs; Bacon's maid) were arrested. They havo just beon tried and found guilty. Cattaneo was sentenced to four, years" imprisonment ' and banishment for life, and his wife to eighteen months' imprisonment and banishment for ten years. :
